Role Profile
Appian Lead Consultant
We are seeking an Appian Lead Consultant to work on projects that are delivering to our clients, using the enterprise low-code Appian platform. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience working with the Appian platform and other enterprise technologies, delivering mission-critical projects in a client-facing role. This role will require strong team leadership, technical and communication skills, attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
· Working as an active member of project teams, leading others, architecting solutions and directly undertaking the low-level design, configuration and unit testing of Appian components and functionality, with strong technical insights and experience to inform, guide, challenge and support technical design discussions and planning
· Leading teams of other consultants, motivating, managing and coaching others. Collaborate with and client project team members and delivery leadership, sharing ideas and experience, providing regular updates and status reporting
· Communicate openly, honestly, accurately and regularly to build trust, confidence and collaboration with everyone you work with
· Lead agile delivery practices and scrum methodology, constantly increasing the level of maturity and capability, through continuous improvement, and ultimately to deliver fantastic client outcomes
· Engage in continuous learning and professional development program to learn new Appian features, embed Appian development best practices, attending technical briefings and discovery sessions.
Requirements:
· Must have at least an active Appian Senior Certified Developer credential, and be aspiring to take the Lead Certified Developer, if not already achieved
· Must have experience in building Appian applications using objects like Records and relationships, SAIL interfaces, process models, reports, Sites , CDTs, other Appian objects and the Appian Admin console, with a deep understanding of Appian best practices and should adhere to them during implementation.
· Must have experience in database concepts such as data modelling, creating tables, queries, procedures, triggers and views, also should have experience or understanding in creating integrations, web APIs, connected systems and associated error handling
· Must have experience in Agile SCRUM methodology with excellent communication skills to interact with Product Owner and Client stakeholders, including experience in working in Sprint 0 activities, leading sprint demos, participating in story refinement and sizing and mentoring others.
· Must have experience of managing deployments and the associated pipeline and methods; also experience with running and analysing the Appian Health Check, analysing the performance of Appian applications and taking action to optimise scalability and performance.
· Must be motivated about continuous learning, particularly regarding Appian, and ready to progress through advanced levels of certification.
· Able to participate in broader activities such as pre-sales, developing accelerators and solutions, contributing to the Appian Community, writing white papers etc
