Introduction
As an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Global ISV Package Lead Technical Architect, you will be responsible for defining the technical solutions to facilitate ISV package implementation. You will require strong stakeholder management skills to coordinate with infrastructure, DevOps, security experts to shape and estimate an ISV package-based banking solution. The successful candidate will have deep architect experience with large enterprises on Banking & Technology Strategy.
Your unique role will drive success and determine where to compete, how to differentiate, and how to innovate business models and technology platforms by taking advantage of new digital technologies. You will be an accomplished SunTec technical SME and drive IBM’s consistent growth by bringing to the table your technical banking skills. You will be responsible for building a global services capability associated with implementing SunTec based solutions. Picture yourself working with a highly motivated and successful team within IBM’s Global Banking & Payments practice.
In this role you will:
• Provide technical leadership to our IBM and client teams in the banking industry using cloud and cognitive computing.
• Bring deep technical industry expertise in digital banking, pioneering banking transformation across business, operations, and technology.
• Evangelize growth and eminence of Banking at IBM by supporting technical thought leadership, and practice development activities.
• Provide innovative ideas with our clients to explore disruptive strategies that create business value.
• Promote IBM’s unique value proposition in the market built around IBM’s banking and payments services and assets. Specialized in on or more of: Digital Transformation, Optimization, Workflows, Banking Operations, Banking Services Operating Model, and end-to-end processing.
• Build, grow, and steward client relationships. Assist in client satisfaction and maintaining a strong client relationship through delivery excellence.
• Be responsible for shaping deals and to lead the team to prepare proposals for clients, and initial selling of the offering.
• Utilize your banking domain expertise across Product Management, Pricing and Billing with excellent communication skills and strong knowledge of business / functional architecture, experience not only with sales but with delivery of banking transformations or core banking solutions implementations.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Extensive experience in ISV package implementations in an architect capacity
• Sound knowledge of current market technical trends, cloud infrastructure and modernization to cloud.
• Strong knowledge of current technical market trends, including Cloud, Cognitive, Digital, Microservices and APIs
• Strong knowledge and experience across Product Management, Pricing and Billing domains
• Extensive experience in the delivery of complex consulting services projects within the Financial Services Industry
• Strong experience in a technical advisory capacity to C-suite executives
• Strong experience managing and leading teams
• Expertise in DevOps, Event Architectures, Security and Systems Performance desirable
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• Expertise with other core banking packages would be highly advantageous
• Experience of managing and leading a global / virtual team highly desirable
• ISV package certifications a bonus to have
• Industry recognised professional architect framework certifications such as BIAN, TOGAF, Zachman, etc highly desirable
• Certifications from leading cloud service providers such as AWS, IBM Cloud, Azure, Google Cloud, Red Hat highly desirable
• Relevant training in current and innovative technology solution architecture preferred
