The reinsurance Claims process involves a team dealing with various requests reported on claims as well as analyzing and commenting on various reports provided by the broker or Cedent. The role will have an opportunity to work as a claim assistant and work closely with claim examiners and build an understanding of how the Reinsurance claims process works. The role involves gaining an understanding of reinsurance contract wordings and coverages and how the risks are set up in the system. The role would provide an opportunity to get hands-on experience in handling bookings of premiums, losses, and reserves for various types of reinsurance contracts and an opportunity to connect with brokers and clients in getting their queries resolved.
The claims team is responsible for handling the claim status updates, handling pre-payment validation, and making disbursements to the end customers, i.e. cedents or brokers. It is expected that the person working in the team be responsible to resolve any issues that may arise while processing the claims; they have the responsibility to make sure that the information entered into the sub-system is correct and report any issue timely while doing so. They also need to make sure that the proper backups and calculations are available for auditors as and when required.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
Coordinates technical development activities across onshore and offshore teams and makes sure high-quality work products that meet the business requirements
Acts as the IT subject matter expert (SME) for given applications
Should perform Application Developer duties when required
Estimate work requests at various levels with confidence
Provide inputs to testing strategy, configuration, deployment, hardware/software requirement, etc.
Support resolution of defects during application testing phases
Builds and maintains a relationship with business teams
Review the plan and provide feedback on gaps, timeline, and execution feasibility
Take part in KT sessions conducted by business teams and provide feedback on requirements
Maintain working relationships with business users, developers, application support team

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
4 years of effective Hands-on experience ETL design and development experience in Informatica
Outstanding Database concepts, 3+ years of experience in MS SQL Server, and Knowledge in Oracle.
3+ years of experience in SQL scripting
Hands-on experience with scheduling tools like Autosys
Informatica and SQL Server configuration knowledge
Should be willing to work on all aspects of the ETL development cycle including requirements gathering, design, development, deployment, and support
Experience in .net development
Desired
Informatica / SQL server Certification
Insurance domain knowledge
Good understanding of Cloud computing
Experience in working with agile methodologies
Good understanding of Big Data concepts
Education and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Ability to work self-directly with less supervision is required.
Ability to do effective multi-tasking is required
Able to organize myself and others including effective scheduling, prioritization, and time management skills, completing tasks to tight deadlines.
