AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

AWS NGDE team is looking for talented Application Engineers experienced in developing processes & automations, tools and complex scripts to support the ML/AI initiatives driven by Amazon Q Builder Science team.
Our team's mission is to make machine learning easy, stronger, and universal in the world of Natural Language and Speech. We developed thriving ML services such as CodeWhisperer, Comprehend, Kendra, Lex and Transcribe. We continuously work on adding new services to our portfolio, which address real world problems through research and innovation. We build state-of-the-art services using the latest deep learning techniques and highly scalable distributed systems engineering.
Application Engineers in our team will be responsible to work with the partner teams to understand the product requirements and deliver in high quality. He/She will work on real world problems affecting the developer productivity, testing and operations. He/She will contribute with new ideas and implement automation to improve the data quality. He/She will play a major role in the next phase of AWS innovation in ML and AI.
Key job responsibilities
• Develop high quality solutions to the requirements from data science team to generate quality data or information.
• Partner effectively with the partner teams to understand the needs and deliver with high quality.
• Implement automation or tools to improve the process or quality
• Mentor new engineers

Basic Qualifications
• B.E. in Computer Science or equivalent qualification.
• 2+ years of technical support experience
• Good knowledge in Programming in either one of the languages – Java/Python/C#/TypesScript/Go/Ruby
• Good knowledge in operating systems, networking and troubleshooting
• Demonstrated skill and passion for problem solving and operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experienced in developing tools and automation
• Experience in taking a project from scoping requirements through launch of the project
• Experience in working with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
