Role Description
The IT Application Owner (ITAO) has sound IT risk management skills. They follow one of a number of possible service delivery approaches, acknowledge interference with the IT application's life cycle and assist with incorporating the adopted approach into best practice.
The ITAO is aware of the gap in the current infrastructure solutions and where industry innovations are along the maturity lifecycle. They work with application stakeholders to improve the infrastructure, ensuring compliance with the technical roadmap.
The ITAO has a sound knowledge of development methodologies and the IT policies necessary to perform effectively in the organisation, aligned to the bank's appetite for risk.
They act to improve safety and security of the application, compliance with regulations, policies and standards, enhance operational readiness, and ease maintenance of the environment for delivering change into production.
The ITAO supports the bank's audit function in the remediation of audit points and self-identified issues in order to reduce risk. They are responsible for producing and maintaining accurate documentation on compliance with methodologies, IT policies and IT security requirements. The ITAO interacts with and influences colleagues on the governance of IT platform reliability and resilience.
Domain Description
Sales sub domain supports IT Processes for mobile sales force of the bank to provide fast and reliable information to our business partners in a secure, dynamic, integrated and mobile ready environment.
Collaboratively working with the business partners to convert the business needs into effective and compliant solutions which enables revenue growth

Your key responsibilities
• Perform Application Management for Java Based Applications, Container platforms like OpenShift Kubernettes, API Management, Apache Tomcat
• Have knowledge Job Management/Scheduling using UC4
• Hands on with Dev Ops pipeline
• Perform application governance tasks
• Oversee the applications under management
• Perform the application lifecycle management and the
strategic application planning.
· Initiate and manage technical projects to maintain the
existing services and services levels.
• Ensure the application compliance with Bank
policies over the term.
· Manage software licenses and vendor contracts
· Ensure the availability of the application documentation over
the term.
• Manage the costs of the application management tasks andactivities.
• Support application software projects.
• Ensure the smooth transition of the applications into
• Release Management
• Capacity Management
• Service Management Mid Range Servers
Your skills and experience
• Undergraduate Degree from an university (or equivalent
diploma / work experience)
• Relevant years of professional experience as application
owner, solution architect or technical specialist.
• Broad and profound understanding of current tier 2 or 3
architectures (Frontend, Middleware, Backend) as well as the fundamental principles of software interfaces.
Hands on experience in core tools and processes like HP ALM,JIRA,Service Now
Domain specific skills:
Desirable are one or more of the following subject areas:
• Expertise in banking domain .
• Excellent knowledge of the following technolgies are needed:
• UNIX Shell Scripting
• Microservices
• JAVA
• Oracle
• Experience in setting up DevOps CI/CD pipeline.
People skills:
