Under the general supervision of the Residential Financial Supervisor, the Residential Financial Specialist (RFS) is responsible for ensuring the accurate bookkeeping/posting of all resident transactions for the properties/portfolio in accordance with set policies and practices; thereby ensuring income optimization. The RFS partners with on-site and regional property management and is charged with maximizing all income opportunities by analyzing trends and recommending process improvements. The RFS is knowledgeable regarding state laws relating to collections from residents as well as internal policies and practices relating to property bookkeeping and systems.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Monitor daily dashboard in MRI to ensure that applications are processed timely for the selected move-in date

Quickly and accurately process all applications for our community teams. Offer exceptional customer service to onsite teams by addressing concerns promptly, through clear communication and follow-up

Provide an excellent customer experience for all of our applicants and ensure timely follow-up on needed documentation

Follow all internal and legal processes to provide alternative approval solutions (as appropriate) to our applicants

Identify potential fraudulent applicants and use resources available to find a resolution for approval or denial

Keep up-to-date on policies, procedures/principles and MRI system application

Understand changes in laws for the assigned market(s) and their impact on the application process

Partner with Assistant Operations Manager and regional management to identify trends, issues or areas of concern related to processes and procedures; recommend process improvements, as appropriate

Provide clear instructions on all application screening outcomes, including corporate and employee applicants for our on-site property management teams

Perform other duties and participate in special projects, as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

One or more years of professional work experience is required, along with knowledge of basic application processing

Experience in computer work including proficiency in keyboarding and navigating in a windows environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent follow-through

Must have experience processing applications, with the ability to identify fraud

Acting with a high level of confidentiality and discretion regarding customer applications and company information is required

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

A college degree or some college coursework is preferred.

SALARY

$21.00 / hour

Working Environment:

This position is 100% remote (work from home) in the following locations: Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Washington DC. Please note: candidates located in California would need to relocate to another EQR market for this opportunity.

Office Services is responsible for providing maintenance and assistance within the facility. We handle kitchen stock, office equipment maintenance, appliance repair/replacement, furniture relocations, office moves, first aid/CPR training coordination, AED maintenance, etc. We also maintain and recruit emergency evacuation personnel and maintain safety and evacuation equipment and procedure manuals.

Additionally Office Services does all postal and expedited mail receipt and delivery and courier services and has an in-house copy center that provides copy, mass mailing, binding and assembly services. The receptionist also falls under the Office Services, and along with managing the switchboard, they greet guests, set up conference rooms, and acts as a contact point for any situation that requires it.
