We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Head to join our banking institution and lead our cybersecurity team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and programs to protect our banking systems, infrastructure, and customer data from cyber threats You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations while staying abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends and best practices.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a robust cyber security strategy for the banking institution, aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and manage a team of cyber security professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and guidelines to safeguard critical systems, networks, and data.
• Identify potential vulnerabilities and risks in the banking infrastructure, applications, and processes, and implement effective risk mitigation measures.
• Monitor and analyze security incidents, conduct investigations, and respond to cyber threats and breaches in a timely and effective manner.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as IT teams, risk management, legal, and compliance departments, to ensure cyber security measures are integrated across all functions.
• Stay updated on the latest cyber security threats, trends, and technologies, and recommend necessary changes or enhancements to existing security controls.
• Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing to identify weaknesses and address any vulnerabilities in the banking systems.
• Provide leadership and support during incident response activities, including containment, analysis, eradication, and recovery.
• Develop and deliver cyber security awareness training programs to educate employees and enhance their understanding of security risks and best practices.
• Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and industry forums to stay informed about emerging threats and technologies in the cyber security landscape.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, such as data protection laws and industry standards (e.g., PCI DSS, ISO 27001).
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Proven experience (8+ years) in cyber security roles, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of cyber security principles, practices, frameworks, and technologies.
• In-depth understanding of banking systems, infrastructure, and associated security risks.
• Experience in developing and implementing cyber security strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Proficient in conducting security assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
• Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards in the banking sector.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
