Hybrid application software developer and customer support analyst
Exportmaster Systems Limited has been providing UK exporters with management and documentation systems for over thirty-five years. We have an enviable list of well-known companies among our customers, using Exportmaster software as part of their core business processes.
We have a vacancy for a multi-talented, enthusiastic person to join our team to help us continue the development of our Windows product line and support our customers.
The role will be varied but will include:-
• Development of new Exportmaster software using the Delphi rapid application development toolset.
• Maintenance of existing Exportmaster application source code.
• Providing fixes and enhancements for customers as well as assisting with new releases.
• Provide front-line support to our customers via phone and email, plus using tools like Teams and Zoom.
• Using screen-sharing apps like TeamViewer for remote support and “hands-on” diagnosis of problems.
• Testing software to ensure it performs to specification.
The sort of skills and personal attributes you should have will include:-
• Solid experience of development of Windows PC-based business applications using a modern development system. Experience of working with Delphi would be a distinct advantage.
• Personable and able to talk confidently with customers at all levels.
• Listening to the problems and needs of our customers, analysing them and working with other members of our team to provide a solution.
• An understanding of Windows and Windows-based networking infrastructure.
• Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good organisational and time management skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
• A natural technical aptitude with an enquiring mind.
• Able to work on independently without constant supervision, or as part of a team.
Exportmaster Systems is based in South Croydon in offices served by several bus routes and railway stations. Free on-site parking is available.
Hybrid/remote working would be considered for a candidate that has sufficient experience and ability to operate without direct supervision.
Competitive salary, contributory workplace pension scheme, 23 days annual leave plus public holidays. Core work hours are 0+:00 to 17:30, Monday to Friday, in line with the needs of our customers.
