Designation / Title: Application Support Engineer - Middleware
Technology: Linux, PL/SQL, Shell Scripting
Location: Pune
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Candidate should be able to work in Unix/Linux environment.
• Candidate should be able to interpret database queries and write simple queries.
• Candidate should be able to interpret Shell/PERL scripts.
• Candidate should be able to apply defined procedures.
• Candidate should be able to work on Service Now tool and should be able to follow all the guideline's as defined.
• Candidate should be able to communicate well to respective counter parts and concern team members.
• Candidate should be able to perform the defined tasks without any much support from others"
Essential & Technical Competencies:
• Ensuring operational continuity through monitoring, support and optimization of the whole payment platform.
• Proposing actions in optimizing the processes sustaining the good operation of the platform
• Constantly tracking the waste (reviewing sub-optimal processes, seeking automation)
• Handling tickets assigned to the team, and when necessary escalating and following up with development or systems teams.
• Participating in the Incident, Problem and Change Management.
• Ensuring deployments of online authorization processing applications with review of the ""implementation plan"" delivered
• Checking the readiness and compliance to our standards coordination of deployments events (test/prod) between involved teams keeping environments aligned to the release coordination plan.
• Working as an integrator between different teams, creating the bridge between development and production.
• Should have ability to work on Unix Commands, Shell Scripting
• Should be able to interpret PL/SQL queries and write simple queries
• Should have good hands on for database topics like Database DML/DDL, Joins
• Effective verbal & written communication
• Analytical mindset
• Investigation and diagnostic skills
• Pro-active approach
• Should be aware about Scrum framework
