The Team
The Application Support Engineer will help support and maintain KY3P Third Party and Assessor Portal (TPAP) customer web portal and business middleware APIs to enable KY3P to scale and serve our rapidly growing customer base. This role will require working with stakeholders across the company to understand the design intent and expected functionality in KY3P's applications. The Application Support Engineer will also assist the product management team with manual regression and smoke testing to ensure that all code releases work throughout all environment of KY3P’s release lifecycle.
Responsibilities And Impact
• Providing first line support for clients and colleagues of KY3P’s internally developed applications.
• Escalate technical support tickets to the development team as required. Must be able to monitor multiple issues at a time and ensure timely communications with users over email and telephone.
• Understand non-technical questions as they are received and route them to the appropriate business support teams.
• Establishing and documenting the root causes of application errors, escalating serious concerns to the rest of the technology team.
• Keeping record of configuration changes and scheduling application updates.
• Documenting processes and monitoring application performance metrics.
What We’re Looking For
Basic Required Qualifications:
• Must be available during US business hours (8 am to 5 pm Monday – Friday, Eastern Time).
• Must have experience troubleshooting web applications using both client-side and server-side tools.
• Must have experience using Microsoft SQL Server and/or Postgres Server, preferably hosted in Azure.
• Must have experience managing customer support requests, with attention to Service Level Agreements
• Outstanding verbal and written skills, and ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders including external customers and third parties.
• Should have experience with customer support management tools such as Freshdesk or similar tools.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience navigating and using cloud environments such as Azure and AWS is a plus.
• Experience in web development using C#, Python, React, Angular, or other JavaScript libraries is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills, discipline, and attention to detail.
