Job Title: Apprentice Carpenter
Job Description
Join our team as an Apprentice Carpenter, where you'll work on a diverse range of projects, including new build CRUs (commercial retail units), office tower tenant improvements, and high-rise mixed-use construction projects. Your journey will begin with tasks such as heating/hoarding framing work, checking grade beams, concrete bulkheads, QA bolts, parapet framing, window wrapping, building gum boxes, and hardware installation.
Responsibilities
• Perform framing and backing tasks as part of various construction projects.
• Conduct hoarding and parapet building activities with precision.
• Ensure quality assurance of anchor bolts, grade beams, and pile envelopes.
• Engage in heating/hoarding framing work and concrete bulkhead tasks.
• Install hardware including doors and other necessary structures.
Essential Skills
• Proficiency in construction and carpentry techniques.
• Experience in commercial construction and framing.
• Knowledge of QA processes for anchor bolts and grade beams.
• Fall protection and working at heights experience.
• CSTS and concrete handling expertise.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Certifications in Fall Pro, EWP, and First Aid.
• CSTS and WHMIS
• Basic hand tools
• Basic personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hat, steel toe work boots, safety vest, gloves, and safety glasses
