POSITION TITLE: Apprentice Carpenter

Shift Accessibility Contractors Ltd. is a general contracting company specializing in accessible and universal construction for homes throughout Calgary. We work directly with occupational therapists, homeowners, architects, and businesses to modify environments, making them accessible and more inclusive for people of all abilities.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
• Complete a variety of renovation tasks including: demolition, framing, finish carpentry, formwork, concrete, and more!
• Work alongside our Carpentry Team to execute the project with oversight from our Journeyman and Project Manager.
• Work and interact with clients while working in their home.
• Completing tasks as per the approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes while maintaining high quality standards.
• Attend and provide feedback at project meetings with the Project and Operations Managers.
• Proactively providing solutions to support ongoing projects.
• Support and maintain a healthy, happy work environment and company culture.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Reliable transportation with a valid Driver's License
• Pass Vulnerable Sectors Check
• Be a 2nd or 3rd-Year Apprentice or Journeyman Carpenter
• Able to connect with people effectively
EMPLOYMENT DETAILS
• This posting is for a full-time position.
• 3 weeks of paid vacation
