Position Overview:
As an Apprentice Truck & Trailer Technician, you'll gain invaluable hands-on experience working alongside skilled professionals to repair and maintain heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This is your chance to learn the ins and outs of the trade, while receiving training and mentorship to develop your skills and build a successful career in the industry. Job Duties:
Assist in diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers under the guidance of experienced technicians
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tire replacements
Help troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to support repairs and ensure vehicles meet safety standards
Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
Learn and follow safety protocols while working in a workshop environment
Communicate effectively with the team to ensure repairs are completed on time
Attend training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge for career advancement
Assist with inventory management and parts ordering as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Valid driver's license (Class 5 or higher)
A strong interest in heavy-duty trucks and trailers, with a passion for learning the trade
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues
Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions from experienced technicians
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Good communication skills to interact with team members and customers
Willingness to attend training and develop skills to become a certified technician
