Position Details
Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking 3rd & 4th Year Apprentices & Journeyperson Carpenter's with formwork experience for work at our SAIT project in Calgary, AB
• Schedule Rotation: Monday - Friday
• Benefits and RRSP Provided As Per Collective Agreement
What You Will Be Working On
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirement
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and/or other materials
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and or roof systems
• Fit and install trim items such as doors, stairs, molding and hardware
What We Are Looking For
• Applicants with formwork experience will only be considered
• Valid Apprentice/Journeyperson certificate in the trade of Carpentry
• CSTS 2020
• WHMIS 2015
• Extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work
• The ability to lift, carry and handle weight up to 50lbs
• Experience in building renovations including access doors and hardware, cabinetry installation, demolition, and construction of steel stud and drywall interior walls
• Must have at least 2 years of commercial experience
• Must be organized, self-driven, and have ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
