Apprentice Mechanical Fitter (Fitter & Turner Apprenticeship)

Temporary Full Time Apprenticeship (4 years)
Hervey Bay
$51,707 (compromised of cash component $3+,073 + annualised allowances W416 $10,2+0 + AR10 $2,344)
OR
if over 21 years of age $72,855 (comprised of $53,281 + annualised allowances W416 $14,033 + AR10 $3,1+7) pa plus superannuation

What we are looking for
Start your hands-on career or take the next step as an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter with our team! If you're energetic, practical, and eager to learn, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience while working towards a Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade).
As an apprentice, you'll develop key mechanical skills in maintaining and constructing Council's critical assets, such as Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants, pump stations, and infrastructure. You'll receive guidance from experienced professionals, helping you become a fully qualified tradesperson.
If you have a strong interest in mechanical systems, can follow instructions, and bring a positive, safety-first attitude, this role is for you!
Please Note: This is not an automotive or heavy vehicle mechanic apprenticeship.
What you should have to apply:
Completion of year 10 (or equivalent) with passing grades
White Card or the ability to obtain prior to commencement
Current Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Tetanus immunisations or the ability to readily acquire
Focus on Safety
Enthusiasm
Passion for learning and mechanical and fabricating works
Be willing and able to follow instructions, including complying with written procedures
Basic computer literacy skills
Ability to undertake manual work and work in unpleasant conditions
