Salary: $75,000 - $80,000

Harrold Park Repairs is a long-established and trusted automotive repair workshop in Annandale, NSW, known for delivering high-quality mechanical repairs, servicing, diagnostics, and inspections. We pride ourselves on our customer-focused approach, skilled team, and reputation for excellence.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our professional workshop team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified tradesperson who takes pride in their work and is committed to maintaining the high standards our customers expect. This is a full-time, ongoing position, offering 38 hours per week (Monday to Friday), with the possibility of overtime when required.

Key Responsibilities

As a Motor Mechanic, your responsibilities will include:

Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues in engines, transmissions, steering, braking, and related vehicle systems.

Repairing or replacing defective parts, reassembling components accurately, and utilising technical manuals where appropriate.

Performing regular servicing, including oil changes, lubrication, brake maintenance, and engine adjustments to optimise vehicle performance.

Disassembling and inspecting engines, gearboxes, and other components to identify faults and determine required repairs or replacements.

Testing, calibrating, and fine-tuning repaired systems to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with roadworthiness standards.

Using advanced diagnostic equipment and computer systems to pinpoint faults and carry out precise, effective repairs.

Preparing inspection reports, roadworthy assessments, and compliance documentation as required.

Maintaining workshop safety standards, collaborating with colleagues and suppliers, and delivering reliable, customer-focused service.

Skills & Experience – What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Motor Mechanic with a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent trade qualification)

At least 1 year of hands-on trade & diagnostic experience

Strong ability to diagnose and repair engines, driveline, suspension, braking systems, and carry out timing belt replacements.

High attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality workmanship that meets safety and compliance standards.

Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.

A reliable team player with good customer service skills, who can also work independently with minimal supervision.

Availability to perform overtime when required.
