Description
We are looking for a dedicated apprentice plumber to assist our Journeyman Plumber while improving their own skills. The responsibilities of an Apprentice Plumber include reading P&ID’s, assembling new potable/waste-water treatment plants, commercial buildings in Calgary / Edmonton, handling tools, and cleaning job sites. The Apprentice Plumber can expect to assist in complex jobs and handle smaller jobs on their own.
Successful apprentice plumber will be well-organized and detail-oriented. You should have good customer service skills, be able and willing to follow instructions, and be prepared to travel to different job sites. The Ideal candidate for this work would be a jack-of-all trade with relevant experience.
Responsibilities include:
• Locating and identifying leaks.
• Repairing or replacing pipes and parts.
• Determining the right tools and equipment necessary to successfully complete a job.
• Assisting with preparing cost estimates for clients.
• Helping the Plumber to ensure that all work is in accordance with local plumbing codes.
• Cleaning the job site after the work is completed.
• Following the Project Manager/Plumbers' instructions.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Years of experience combined with education, designations or certifications.
· Registered Apprentice

· Must be reliable and punctual;
· Good communications skills, both written and verbal;
· Organized and the ability to multi-task;
· Ability to meet job requirements with little daily supervision;
· Ability to organize and maintain accurate equipment files;
· Excellent attitude toward workplace safety;
· Computer knowledge & skills in Word, Excel, Outlook; and,
· Valid driver’s license and a current abstract.
· Good Mechanical Aptitude
· Must be a positive team player with strong work ethic
· Must be able to work well with both clients and co-workers
· Able to lift, Move and carry up to 50 Lbs
· Operator tickets such as telehandler, Aerial Work Platform and Skid steer would be considered an asset
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug & ******* Test
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
