The Role
This is an exciting and dynamic position that will see the successful person become a member of the team that manages and governs a critical enabling capability on behalf of the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
The position plays a key role within the team that manages the Health Services Contract that includes contract administration, including secretariat functions for senior executive meetings, undertake performance reviews and monitor risk in a multi-disciplined and dynamic setting. The role will face competing priorities within a dynamic fast-paced environment and may need to be flexible regarding daily tasks.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. The ADF Health Service Contract Directorate is a high performing team, responsible for the oversight and management of the ADF Health Services Contract ensuring that the contract is fit for purpose now and throughout its life cycle. The team supports the Director to monitor and manage the contract through the contract management framework including administration and governance, performance and risk, the contracted health services (Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Healthcare) and supply, demand and budget.
The contracted health services (Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Healthcare) include, Integrated Contracted Health Professional Workforce, 24 hour Medical Advice, Triage and Referral Service, Specialised Services, Imaging and Radiology, Pathology, and Occupational Rehabilitation Services.
