Enterprise Transformation and Governance Division is at the heart of Defence’s strategic centre and supports the Associate Secretary to integrate, transform and govern the work of Defence.

This work is underpinned by the foundational reform principles outlined in the 2024 National Defence Strategy: simplification, workforce optimisation and digitisation. We are looking for experienced business intelligence analysts and governance professionals who have a genuine interest in transforming the way Defence performs as we implement the 2024 National Defence Strategy.

You will have the opportunity to work at the strategic centre of Defence, engaging with stakeholders across every Group and Service. Deliver strategic insights that inform senior decision makers, helping to solve challenges and shape prioritisation and performance.

At the APS 6 level, you will:
Play a central role in Defence’s transformation, supporting work to simplify, optimise and digitise.
Support collaboration on complex across Defence and harness diverse skillsets to shape and guide innovative approaches to data informed decisions.
Use your skills and knowledge to support planning and analysis activities on organisational priorities and performance, distil critical insights, and use data visualisation techniques to present complex data simply.

About our Team
The Enterprise Transformation and Governance Division has three Branches; Enterprise Evaluation Branch, Enterprise Transformation Branch and Enterprise Governance Branch. Vacancies currently exist in several directorates within Enterprise Evaluation Branch.
The Directorate of Enterprise Performance and Reporting delivers the Defence Annual Report and is leading the transformation of Defence’s performance measurement to support senior leader decision making and public transparency.
The Directorate of Enterprise Planning and Priorities delivers the Defence Corporate Plan and is aligning planning and priorities with the 2024 National Defence Strategy.
The Directorate of Enterprise Intelligence provides strategic insights to inform decisions and achieve Defence priorities.
The Enterprise Concepts Directorate supports the understanding of Enterprise-wide challenges and the development of options for resolution.
The Enterprise Risk and Continuity Directorate supports Defence to maintain an appropriate system of risk management and business continuity to support our capability and critical functions.

Experience in planning, performance or governance for a complex organisation.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
