The Role
As an APS 6 Integrated Logistics Officer, you will be part of an integrated team of Logistics Specialists to deliver complex logistics systems and inventory management work within an integrated workforce. You will provide reliable professional advice and outcomes, utilising outstanding stakeholder management skills and expertise to ensure the fundamental logistic information and policy is developed to meet capability requirements. These capability requirements require operating across a broad range of ILS disciplines, including but not limited to Sustainment, Acquisition, Procurement, Maintenance, Reliability and Maintainability, Configuration Management, Reporting and Supply Support for capabilities. We are seeking applications to fill vacancies located at Brindabella Park, Canberra and Penrith Sydney.

MEOSPO is an integral part of Explosive Materiel Branch (EMB) which is part of Guided Weapons & Explosive Ordnance Systems Division. Our team is made up of various disciplines (including engineering, project management, commercial, logistics, and corporate enabling services). We are located in Canberra, Penrith, Brisbane, Melbourne and HMAS Stirling. Our focus is to acquire and sustain guided weapons and munitions for the Australian Defence Force. Our ideal candidate would have a strong commitment to working with a team and a broad range of stakeholders to meet our legal and other regulatory requirements in the acquisition and sustainment of Explosive Ordnance (EO).
The right person for this role will be an individual who can work under broad direction and in accordance with established priorities, principles, methodologies and work practices.
You need to collaborate effectively in a logistics team, as well as optimising internal and external stakeholder relationships, in order to develop and maintain a detailed and logical plan to support the delivery of the required capability portfolio.
You may also have staff management responsibilities.
The candidate would have an understanding of Integrated Logistic principles and be able to quickly understand the acquisition and sustainment of EO and utilise inventory management systems.
The candidate would be an innovator and be prepared to look at ways in which we can do our work more efficiently.
The candidate should be able to interpret specific legislation and regulations and be able to apply that knowledge to the ongoing management of EO.
