The Role
Working in a small and dynamic team, Risk Officer - Army Preparedness will:
Coordinate maintenance of risk management documentation including risk management plans and registers pertaining to Army Preparedness and designated Army Business Plan planned results.
Interpret currency and accuracy of risk management information including progress regards risk treatment activities and recommend approaches for risk identification/analysis/treatment/control, to improve risk management practices and identify common and strategic risks and issues.
Provide expert advice on the application of risk management policy and procedures, applying professional knowledge and experience to improve associated processes and practices within Land Operations Branch.
About our Team
The Land Operations Branch supports the Chief of Army in the command and strategic management of land capabilities to support operational requirements.
Staff in the branch work closely with other parts of Army and Defence to maintain strategic oversight of Army's preparedness; to support Army's ability to generate, structure, employ and posture our teams to be ready for domestic, regional and global tasks; and to support Army's international engagements.

An experienced risk management professional, with relevant qualifications and a sound understanding of relevant legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.
Able to demonstrate sound judgement in professional settings, and be experienced providing advice and contesting views in a respectful manner.
Has strong interpersonal skills, be enthusiastic, display initiative and willingness to learn.
Have good written and verbal communication skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
Adaptable, resilient and flexible in response to changing priorities, comfortable meeting deadlines and prioritising workloads.
