Job Description
Large Federal Government Department is located centrally seeking an APS4/5 Security Administration Officer to join their Security team initially to be engaged on a Labour Hire contract.
Your new role
As the Security Administration Officer, you will be responsible for managing and supporting security clearance processes with outsourced service providers. This includes, but is not limited to;
Management of the Security inboxes by responding to enquiries efficiently
Liaising internally and externally to commence, monitor, progress and finalise security clearance processes
Managing security clearance processes with outsourced vetting providers
Provide policy and procedure related advice regarding security clearance requirements as per PSPF and Department Security Framework
Preparing documentation for delegate approval
Compiling compliance reports to manage and forecast workloads
Other duties as directed by the team leader
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, you will have demonstrated experience within a similar security focussed role in a government environment
Basic knowledge of the PSPF, AGSVA Process and systems
Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work to tight deadlines and effectively manage competing priorities
Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships, including with colleagues, customers and stakeholders at all levels.
Maintains a professional approach and high level of confidentiality.
You must be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain government Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) Clearance
What you'll get in return
Initial labour hire contract through to September 2026, possible extension option
Competitive hourly rate, flexible dependent on experience $50 - $65 p/h + super
