The Opportunity
Do you want to make a unique contribution to the security of Australian Government information, people and assets?
We are looking for curious problem-solvers with trade, engineering or science qualifications and experience to undertake technical security roles within DFAT’s Diplomatic Security Division (DSD). Technical Security Officers who work in the Technical Security, Safehand and Diplomatic Mail Section (TSS) are responsible for conducting inspections and vulnerability assessments of DFAT premises domestically and overseas as well as developing, managing, and deploying unique technical capabilities to counter technical threats against DFAT’s global network.
This recruitment process will be used to fill current vacancies as well as any which may arise across DSD over the coming 18 months. The initial vacancies to be filled from this process are based in Canberra. This process may be used to fill roles in other locations in Australia and overseas.
