Western Recreation & Development Inc. www.waterparks.ca is a Aquatic Design/Builder with over 35 years in the commercial swimming pool industry. We specialize in municipal and Hotel projects across Western Canada. Our 400 customers are located across MB, SK, and AB. We currently are looking to add a Service & Maintenance Technician to serve the city of Winnipeg and Manitoba.
This job focuses on servicing, repairing, and installing plumbing systems, equipment to Aquatic Facilities in Winnipeg, Manitoba. You will perform tasks such as repairing & installing PVC schedule 40/80 plumbing, pressure testing, cleaning filters, summarizing, winterizing large commercial aquatic facilities. Suitable individuals must have previous plumbing & mechanical experience and have the ability to work independently with good written and communication skills. Key Responsibilities:
Installation, Maintenance, and Repair
-Identifying plumbing problems including equipment malfunctions
-Inspecting plumbing fixtures, pipes, and systems for leaks, wear and tear
- Install, repair, commercial swimming pool plumbing fixtures and system
- Installing new PVC Schedule 40/80 plumbing fixtures, pumps, filters,
-automation, chemical systems repairing existing ones, and performing regular
maintenance
-Responding to plumbing emergencies as needed
-Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing
system
-Keeping detailed records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on
each task
- Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
-Collaborate with other trades, contractors
-Providing excellent customer service by addressing concerns, answering
questions, and ensuring client satisfaction.
-Adhering to safety regulations, safe work procedures when working on
plumbing systems
-May prepare cost estimates
-Other duties as assigned
Beneficial Skills and Requirements:
-Completion of secondary school is an asset but not required
-Plumbing experience
-Experience in the Aquatics Industry considered an asset
-Good communication skills, both written and verbal
-Must have a valid driver’s license

-Able to lift 50lbs
