Business & Technology Overview:
• We're delivering a strategic Credit Risk technology platform which will improve risk management capability, data quality and operational efficiency.
• We will retire the legacy platform and provide a foundation for further 'digitization' including automated decision engines from 2026 onwards.
• The technology we're developing covers all core Credit Risk processes - including credit analysis, rating analysis, monitoring & portfolio management.
• While we deliver new Credit Risk Technology, we're also maintaining existing Credit Risk systems.

Your key responsibilities
• Experience in large Oracle migrations – 11g / 12c to 18c / 1+c would be beneficial
• Expert in Unix shell scripting – automation of tasks
• Java and other driver installations to support migration of the database from 12c to 1+c – UI / Reports / DAL
• Setting up of Fabric instances with appropriate drivers for application connectivity
• Liaising with Application Team to make sure connectivity works as expected
• Knowledge of Oracle data dictionaries for troubleshooting random database issues
• DBA skills for troubleshooting import / export process, space issues, user creation, privileges , stats and high level performance issues.
• Basic SQL skills are mandatory
• Exadata experience is beneficial
• Experience of working in an Agile Development team practicing (SCRUM), KANBAN, XP. And familiarisation with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) delivery methodology concepts
• Experience building and working with continuous integration, deployment and automated test environments is beneficial
• Understanding of Banking, and Investment Banking Products; ideally experience of Risk Management systems is desirable.
