Data Engineering & Analytics Architect

What's this role about
As a Data Engineering & Analytics Architect you will be responsible for providing advisory and thought leadership on the provision of analytics environments leveraging Cloud based platforms, big data technologies, including integration with existing data and analytics platforms and tools. You would be contributing in multiple competencies within data engineering & analytics, guiding communities on next best technologies and helping them plan next set of solutions and services in their respective technologies to present to customer.
You will drive pre-sales and design, implement analytics, scalable data architectures, and information solutions covering data security, data privacy, data governance, metadata management, multi-tenancy and mixed workload management, implement projects and provide delivery oversight.
Here's how you'll contribute:
Data Engineering & Analytics Architect at Zensar takes up end to end ownerships of pre-sales, service offerings, external & internal communications, projects and provide valuable inputs to define strategies. You will do this by:
Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and challenges and provide data-driven solutions.
Design and implement end-to-end data architecture solutions, considering scalability, performance, and security requirements.
Conduct data assessments and develop strategies for data management, integration, and analytics.
Responding to client RFI, RFP documents with proper solution design including cost estimates
Contributing to SoWs, technical project roadmaps, etc required for successful execution of projects
Lead and mentor a team of data professionals, providing guidance on best practices and industry standards.
Define data governance frameworks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and tools in the data management space.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to deliver comprehensive data solutions.
Provide technical expertise and support during the pre-sales process, including proposal development and client presentations.
Ensuring code review and developing best practises as & when needed
Estimating effort, identifying risk and providing technical support whenever needed
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in data architecture and analytics.
Managing all aspects of technical solutions development and ensure successful project deliveries
Demonstrating the ability to multitask and re prioritizing responsibility based on dynamic requirements
Leading analyst briefings and presentations
Skills required to contribute:
15-18 Years of Data and Analytics experience with minimum 5+ years in one of cloud platforms like Azure, AWS with Snowflake / Databricks cloud native data services
Experience working on multiple cloud platforms (AWS with Snowflake/Azure/ Data Bricks)
Proven experience as a Data Architect, with a focus on consulting and solution design
Extensive experience in Cloud Data stack from consulting, setting up data platform, rearchitecting or refactoring data platform to cloud native services along with industry leading tools/products
Strong expertise in data modeling, database design, and ETL processes.
Proficiency in implementing and optimizing data warehouses and data lakes.
Solid understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance considerations.
Familiarity with data science and machine learning concepts is a plus.
Relevant certifications such as Cloud Solution Architect / Engineer certification will be added advantage.
Experience with related/complementary open source software platforms and languages (e.g. Apache, Java, Python, Scala)
Working experience with ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) tools (e.g. Informatica, Talend, Ab Initio, Pentaho)
Experience working with various data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Oracle Analytics Cloud etc.)
Analytical and consulting skills
Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
Be able to work with customers independently
Excellent communication skills interviewing, preparation and delivery of presentations and reports
Experience in Data governance and management with industry leading products like Collibra, Atacama, Alation, Reltio will be added advantage.
Working within a project management/agile delivery methodology in a leading role as part of a wider team.
