Job Description
HdAr is seeking an experienced architect/project architect to join its team in London.
Role overview:
The successful candidate will lead multiple projects simultaneously, managing a dedicated team while being client-facing. You will bring expertise in residential, commercial and hospitality projects, both within the UK and internationally.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic development, design innovation and contract administration across all RIBA work stages.
Key responsibilities:
• oversee projects from concept design through to completion, ensuring successful delivery across all RIBA work stages
• engage directly with clients, contractors and consultants, ensuring smooth project execution
• manage project resourcing and mentor junior team members
• conduct site meetings, assess site services and ensure compliance with UK planning and building regulations
• contribute to the strategic development and growth of the practice
Required skills and experience:
• RIBA Part 3 qualified (or equivalent)
• a minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience in residential, commercial and hospitality sectors
• proficient in design development, technical detailing and construction documentation
• comprehensive knowledge of UK planning and building regulations
• strong organisational skills with proven experience in job running and site management
• excellent presentation skills and experience liaising with clients, contractors and consultants
• proficiency in Vectorworks (2D and 3D) is advantageous
• strong leadership, team management and people skills
• fluent in written and spoken English
• experience with international projects is a plus
