About the Role

MHT Technologies is looking for an Area Business Development Manager with a strong technical foundation to grow adoption of our PoE Inspextor™ solution across the East region. This role is based in Atlanta, GA, where MHT has access to the Cisco Innovation Center, a powerful environment for live demos, customer tours, and joint presentations.
This is a remote role with strong in-person engagement. The ideal candidate will spend at least one day per week at the Cisco Innovation Center, supporting hands-on demonstrations, collaborating with technical stakeholders, and working closely with Cisco and MHT teams.
You’ll combine consultative, account-based sales with technical solution positioning, helping expand MHT’s presence in enterprise, education, healthcare, and government markets.

What You’ll Do
Drive revenue growth for MHT’s PoE lighting and Inspextor platform through direct customer engagement and partner collaboration
Act as a technical resource during the sales process, helping customers understand system architecture, use cases, and integration benefits
Build and manage relationships with end users, developers, contractors, engineers (MEPs), architects, and distribution partners
Leverage the Cisco Innovation Center in Austin to host demos, tours, and joint sales presentations
Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools, including forecasting and opportunity tracking
Represent MHT at Cisco events, regional tradeshows, and building technology forums
Collaborate internally with engineering, design, and operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale to project delivery

What We’re Looking For
3+ years of experience in technology, construction, lighting, building systems, or consultative sales
Strong technical aptitude and comfort discussing systems, networks, or integrated solutions
A proven track record of relationship-based, solution-oriented selling
Ability to engage confidently with technical stakeholders and executive-level decision makers
Strong communication and presentation skills
Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a hybrid remote / in-person role
Willingness to travel regionally (approximately 30–40%)
Nice to Have (Not Required)
Hands-on experience with smart buildings, controls, networking, AV, or PoE systems
Familiarity with complex project-based or specification-driven sales cycles
Experience selling alongside or into the Cisco ecosystem
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $70,000 - $100,000
OTE: $90,000-$120,000
Commission: Aggressive, uncapped structure tied directly to performance
