Job Description
To lead and manage the credit underwriting and risk management function for the LAP portfolio in the assigned region. This includes ensuring compliance with credit policies, maintaining portfolio quality, and supporting business growth by balancing risk and reward.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Review and approve loan applications within delegated credit authority.
• Conduct a thorough analysis of financials, borrower profiles, and property valuations to assess creditworthiness.
• Handle escalated and complex cases, providing recommendations to senior credit authorities for high-value loans.
• Continuously monitor the performance of the LAP portfolio within the region, ensuring adherence to risk parameters.
• Identify and address early warning signals, collaborating with collections and recovery teams for corrective measures.
• Conduct periodic reviews of approved loans to ensure ongoing compliance with credit policies.
• Provide feedback to the central credit team regarding regional market trends, borrower behavior, and competitive practices.
• Work closely with sales teams to ensure alignment between business growth targets and credit quality.
• Coordinate with legal, technical, and operations teams for seamless loan processing and disbursements.
Experience / Skillset / Certifications Required:
• Educational Qualification- Chartered Accountant/ MBA (Finance) from reputed institutes.
• Relevant Job Experience- 7–10 years of experience in credit management, specifically in LAP,
• Preferred Industry experience – NBFC / Banks handling LAP.
• Analytical Ability: Strong analytical and decision-making skills for evaluating financial and business data.
• Risk Management: Deep understanding of risk mitigation strategies and credit assessment.
