Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Sales Manager to join our FMCG company in Rajasthan. As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all sales and distribution parameters related to general trade and supplement trade in the assigned location. Your primary goal will be to drive sales growth, achieve targets, and ensure effective market penetration.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Management:
• Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize market share.
• Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks.
• Set sales objectives, forecast sales volumes, and develop annual sales quotas for the assigned area.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sales data, market intelligence, and performance metrics.
Distribution Management:
• Manage and expand the distribution network within the assigned area, ensuring optimal product coverage and availability.
• Identify potential distribution partners, negotiate agreements, and maintain strong relationships.
• Monitor distributor performance, provide necessary support, and resolve any issues or conflicts.
• Collaborate with the supply chain team to monitor inventory levels and ensure timely product availability.
Team Leadership:
• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing sales team.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and motivation to the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify areas for improvement, and implement training programs.
• Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and employee engagement.
Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, retailers, and trade partners.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to plan and execute promotional activities, product launches, and trade marketing initiatives.
• Address customer queries, complaints, and concerns in a timely and satisfactory manner.
• Represent the company in industry events, conferences, and trade exhibitions.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in sales, preferably in the FMCG industry.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
• Strong understanding of general trade and supplement trade dynamics in the assigned area.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret market data.
• Proficiency in using sales and CRM software.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned area as required
