Key Responsibilities :
• Achieve sales targets for modern trade accounts by effectively managing key customer relationships and overseeing sales execution at retail outlets.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts (supermarkets, hypermarkets, department stores, etc.) to drive sales growth, ensuring the company’s products are well-represented and available.
• Ensure that the company’s products are prominently displayed, well-stocked, and supported by effective merchandising and promotional strategies in modern trade outlets.
• Lead and support the modern trade sales team including Sales Executives and Merchandisers. Provide guidance, training, and performance reviews to maximize team productivity and sales performance.
• Plan and implement in-store promotions, product launches, and campaigns. Collaborate with marketing teams to align strategies with brand guidelines and consumer demands.
• Provide detailed reports on sales activities, key account performance, market trends, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to senior management.
• Identify new opportunities for business growth within modern trade, including expanding product listings, securing new retail partners, and entering new regions or retail formats.
• Work closely with key accounts to negotiate pricing, terms, and promotional support, ensuring mutual benefit and alignment with company objectives.
Skills & Qualifications :
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in modern trade sales within the FMCG industry.
• Proven track record of managing and growing modern trade accounts.
• Strong understanding of the modern trade landscape, retail operations, and sales strategies.
• Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to analyse sales data and trends to make informed business decisions.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
