Job Description:
Responsibilities for Area Sales Manager -
Individual Contributor role.
To achieve / exceed given operating plan (Target) month on month basis.
To win new opportunities/orders plan month on month basis linked to operating plan.
Assess customers like Doctors / Para Medical Staff / Hospital Infection Control Committee/ Purchase needs and present suitable products solutions.
• Facilitates the customer's progression through the buying process to closure. Applies appropriate tactics to guide the process towards a favorable decision for long term results.
Constructs strong profit, margin, ROI, and cost/benefit analyses to track progress; Distills data and information sources into actionable conclusions
Develops opportunities at both new and existing customers and generates new business; Links with marketing; Seeks new applications for use of products and services; Identifies customer pain points
Keep detailed records of all contacts & develops objective-driven, actionable plans with the customers.
Work with internal Sales team / Clinical Specialist / Marketing Team to implement brand strategies to ensure a consistent marketing message.
Demonstrates a knowledge of own and competitor products; Aligns one products and services to applications to add value that clearly differentiates them from competition.
Understands the role of channels and distributors & Builds relationships and develops effective channel partnerships and joint strategies to accomplish sales objectives.
Anticipates and handles complex problems and issues, gaining input from appropriate resources and generating possible options before coming to a resolution.
Takes personal responsibility for resolving customer problems/issues; Follows through on commitments to customer; Manages questions, conflicts, and problems well
Plan work schedules (weekly and monthly timetables) & ensure daily working updates are recorded in SFDC.
Attend sales meetings, conference calls, training sessions.
Qualifications for Area Sales Manager
3-5 years -experience or as a medical sales role or similar role ( -Preferred age could possibly be 30-32 years). A senior person around 35 can be looked at.
Education - MBA / B Pharma /M Pharma preferred
Strong negotiation and sales skills
Familiarity with local Gujarat hospitals (Ahmedabad) will be added advantage
Knowledge of computers (Basic).
Employs and leverages listening, questioning, oral and written abilities to convey messages and express ideas and points of view.
Excellent teamwork and networking skills
Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
Ability to travel frequently.
