B. Key Accountabilities, Performance Areas
• Ensure high volume of sales transactions from the assigned territory
• Build and drive an effective campus ambassador team
• Increase market share by effectively using sales techniques and ensuring maximum coverage
• Increase and churn the campus ambassador network so as to have 360 degree presence and brand visibility in each and every college of the region
• Increase institutional partnerships
• Ensure daily cadences and usage of tools/resources
• Monitor competition activities in the assigned region
C. Key Success Factors of the Job
• The Area Sales Manager must be able to close deals and generate revenue.
• Area Sales Manager must be able to build and manage a team of campus ambassadors.
• The Area Sales Manager must be able to communicate effectively with potential customers, both verbally and in writing. They must also be able to give clear and concise presentations.
• The Area Sales Manager will need to be able to work independently to meet their sales goals.
• The Area Sales Manager must have a deep understanding of the education/Ed-Tech industry.
D. Challenges in the Job
• The Area Sales Manager will need to educate the market about the new edtech product and its benefits. This can be a challenge, as MBBS students are typically busy with their studies and may not have time to research new products. The Area Sales Manager will need to find creative ways to reach these students and explain the benefits of the product.
• The Area Sales Manager will need to build relationships with MBBS students and their professors. This can be a challenge, as MBBS students are typically very busy and may not have time to meet with sales representatives. The Area Sales Manager will need to be patient and persistent in order to build relationships with these key decision-makers.
• The Area Sales Manager will need to be knowledgeable about the product and be able to answer questions about its features and benefits.
E. Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the education/Ed-Tech industry.
• Strong understanding of sales techniques and strategies.
• Proven ability to build and manage relationships.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
