Job Description:
BASIC FUNCTION
Provide generator after-sales service, parts sales, technical and training support to customers, distributors and dealers. Overall Regional Product support co-ordination and responsibility of complete regional product support business.
• Develop, plan and conduct training activities for customers/distributors/dealers of the region assigned.
• Provide technical support and advice to customers/distributors/dealers in accordance with established procedures and standards.
• Assess / Appoint / Evaluate distributors’ technical capability and performance on Monthly Basis and review their Business Targets.
• Troubleshoot root causes of product failures and provide solutions to end customers of the region and guide and train dealers on the same.
• Recommend to Customers/Distributors/Dealers the parts required for the product range and clarify technical queries on any part.
• Recommend safety stock/consumables to be stocked by Distributors/Dealers based on the generator population.
• Study market requirements for parts and help to promote parts business.
• Liaise with customers/distributors/dealers on service and parts orders.
• Provide latest development and technical information to all relevant parties.
• Attend to any other technical services-related duties as and when assigned.
• Prepare action plan for service engineer visit for AMC monthly basis as per customer request.
• Develop service database for generator sets operating in that area.
• Interact closely with Head Office on all service related matters.
• Provide list of parts with part no for generators repair and overhauling.
• Follow up with Dealers and customers for Pending payments and Commercial forms.
• Prepare and submit regional activity report on weekly basis.
• Prepare and submit forecast for parts and service activities expected in the respective regions.
• Providing special tools support to distributors / dealers locally.
• Guide Dealer/ distributors team to prepare and submit job plan for top and major overhauls.
• Co ordinate with dealers and distributors for timely submission of start up notifications / Maintenance Paid visits and warranty claim settlements

Frequent interactions with HO team in Service, Parts sales, Parts purchase & Parts warehouse and co-associates in other regional offices.
