As a Armed Security Officer - Hospital in Tucson, AZ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $26.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:
Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, staff, and/or first responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations while maintaining an armed presence that may help to deter unauthorized activity and support security-related operations.
Monitor access points and sensitive areas, verify identification and/or credentials when required, and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations according to site expectations.
Support assistance with de-escalation, escorts, and incident response involving patients, visitors, and staff while following post orders, use of force guidelines, and Allied Universal standards.
Minimum Requirements:
Be willing to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
Possess an armed guard card and/or license as required.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
