As a Armed Security Officer in Tucson, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or local authorities as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, and/or visitor authorization in accordance with site protocols while maintaining detailed and accurate activity logs.
Support order on site by following post orders, handling security-related concerns with professionalism, and assisting with investigations, alarms, and/or requested escorts when appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:
Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
Pepper spray certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
