Job Description
PIXACORE is seeking an Art Designer with ability to understand brand strategy and apply branding guidelines to a variety of digital and print tactics. This person should have a background in visual design and be familiar with the creation and maintenance of modular design systems. Looking for an independent and self-motivated designer who can partner closely with the creative team to efficiently execute and deliver design work to the development team. Candidate should be an advocate for assigned brand(s) and be able to effectively communicate design choices internally and to the client.
Core Responsibilities
• Leveraging component libraries and design systems to ensure styles align with branding guidelines
• Works with Copywriter to create and design content units for components within a design system
• Ensures all design solutions align with the brand guidelines
• Articulate design recommendations to internal teams and clients
• Maintains and organizes the art bank for the assigned brand(s)
• Pivot between several accounts/ongoing projects and manage time accordingly to ensure deadlines are met
• Guide the Visualizers and Graphic designers on design excellence for the assigned brands/ accounts
• Collaborates with a cross-functional team to produce work in a timely manner
• Collaborate with UI Designer to incorporate art assets into design system components
• Form strong partnership with development team to create frictionless design implementation
• Deliver solutions for both responsive web and native mobile applications
Desired Skills & Experience
• 3+ years of experience as an Art Director in a healthcare agency (Mandatory)
• College degree in visual communications or equivalent experience
• Excellent digital design portfolio or website equivalent
• Strong visual design skills (user interface design, iconography, etc.)
• Experience working with style guides and design systems
• A contemporary command of typography, photography and color is required
• Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Impeccable organization, time management, and attention to detail
• Self-motivated, ability to work independently
• Expertise in Figma and/or Sketch, Zeplin, Photoshop, Illustrator (familiarity with full Adobe Creative Suite is a plus)
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS and JavaScript and other front end development frameworks is a plus
• Good command on spoken english
