Members of the Arts Council of Wales play a key role in delivering strategic priorities.
These include promoting a vibrant, diverse, and inclusive culture and a sustainable and innovative arts sector.
Approximately 1.5 days per month commitment is required.
Travel and subsistence costs are reimbursed.
The Welsh Government invites applications for three members to serve on the Arts Council of Wales.
They will help deliver strategic priorities and promote Welsh Government's policy commitments.
Members are expected to:
Participate effectively in the Council's activities and define its strategic direction.
Offer review, scrutiny, challenge, and support to the Executive.
Promote high standards of propriety and ensure efficient use of public money.
Participate in corporate planning and agree annual budget plans.
Work as part of a Council that values difference and challenges unconscious behaviours.
Actively participate in widening access and creating an inclusive Arts sector.
To strengthen the Council Membership, Members must demonstrate essential qualities, skills, and experience.
The appointment is for an initial term of three years with a commitment of 1.5 days a month.
