The Opportunity:
This position will Lead the development and implementation of City of Airdrie visual and performing arts programs to residents of all ages to develop creative skills and lifelong learning.
Responsibilities include:
Design and lead the Arts Series and Registered Programs for Airdrie Citizens
Research and recruit qualified art contractors for the Art Series
Assisting with the recruitment, coaching, and scheduling of Art Programmer and Art Instructors. Oversee on-boarding and ongoing training
Conduct outreach and develop and maintain effective working relationships with artists and arts organizations
Collaboration with Team Leader on the planning and execution of an annual budget, aligned with business plans
Continually audit the processes and delivery of Arts Programs
Conduct market segmentation to understand the audience needs for visual and performing arts
You Bring:
Post-secondary degree/diploma in Fine Arts, Public Management, or other related education required
3 - 5 years of proven progressive responsibility for oversight and coordination of an arts program
3 - 5 years of demonstrated experience leading a team of employees
Demonstrated experience building relationships with Arts Organizations
Knowledge and experience with program registration
Knowledge and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Suite programs
Ability to work independently and be self directed
Proficient in problem-solving
Strong customer service focus
Enthusiastic and positive
Excellent communication and presentation skills
The ability to work effectively with a wide range of people
The ability to pay close attention to details
The ability to work well under pressure and make decisions quickly

This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week.
