Dubs Construction Ltd. is a growing luxury outdoor living contractor based in Ottawa.
We design and build complete backyard spaces — decks, pergolas, fences, and structures — built to be enjoyed from April through November.
This is not basic carpentry.
This is high-end work, tight systems, and a team that takes pride in being the best.
The Opportunity
We are hiring a Junior Foreman / Lead Carpenter to:
Run job sites
Lead a small crew
Build high-end outdoor projects
Grow into a full Crew Lead / Foreman role

What You’ll Be Responsible For
Running the Job Site
Execute decks, fences, and outdoor structures from start to finish
Keep projects on schedule and on budget
Maintain a clean, organized, and camera-ready site at all times
Leading & Training
Lead 1–3 crew members
Train apprentices in Dubs Construction methods
Set the standard for pace, quality, and professionalism
High-Level Carpentry
Footing layout, framing, decking, stairs, and railings
Solve problems in real time
Read plans and make decisions on-site
Representing the Brand
Wear company apparel daily
Maintain job sites that are always presentable
Contribute to building a strong brand presence in Ottawa

Your role is to deliver an excellent experience during the build phase.
What We Build
We specialize in complete outdoor living spaces, including:
Composite and PVC decks (low-maintenance, premium materials)
Covered structures for sun and rain protection
Screened areas for comfort
Lighting systems for nighttime use
Cooking and entertainment spaces
We are not just building decks. We are building spaces where families spend their best time.
What We’re Looking For
3–6+ years of carpentry experience
Strong skills in decks, framing, stairs, and layout
Ability to lead a crew and take ownership
Valid driver’s license
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in work
Most importantly, you want to grow into a leader and increase your earning potential in this trade.
Bonus Experience
Composite or PVC decking (TimberTech or similar)
Aluminum railing systems (Regal Ideas or similar)
Helical piles or advanced footings
Experience working with higher-end clients
Compensation & Growth
$28–$32/hour based on experience
Performance-based bonuses
10% commission on upsells
Clear path to Crew Lead / Foreman
Ongoing training and leadership development
