The Global Talent Development, Diversity & Inclusion team (GTDDI) plays a key role in enabling our business, leaders, and employees through a focus on culture and the employee experience. In support of this, we are looking for an Asia Region D&I Leader.

The D&I Region Leader drives and enables diversity and inclusion efforts across all functions in a designated geographic Region, aligned to time zone (i.e. Americas, EMEA, Asia).  Their primary focus is to align regional D&I activations with Microsoft’s global strategy, ensuring efforts are tailored to the unique cultural and business context of the region.  This role requires strategic vision, strong leadership, change management capabilities, influencing for impact, and the ability to collaborate effectively across various functions and regions.

Responsibilities
• Actively drives and executes D&I change management for the region, across all business areas.
• Co-develops and support implementation of a multi-year vision for D&I for the Region, aligned to Microsoft’s global D&I strategy and frameworks.
• Provides direct coaching and consultation for the Region VP and HR Leadership Team, equipping to address unique diversity and inclusion needs within the region and drive effective change.
• Contextualizes and adapts global Microsoft D&I strategies, frameworks, and programs to address region-specific identity and inclusion nuances, including local compliance needs, ensuring initiatives are relevant and impactful.
• Identifies interventions and defines mechanisms for improved employee experience and people processes in-Region, partnering with Centers of Excellence (COEs) and Global D&I Solutions, Communities & Activation (GDISCA).
• Deploys and activates the One Microsoft D&I strategy within the region, ensuring alignment with global functional D&I plans.
• Drives collective ownership and accountability of plan through HR Leadership Teams and Region-wide Business Leadership Teams, leading quarterly business reviews.
• Leads and enables Asia-wide communities of Geo HR D&I Champ, Geo D&I Executive Sponsors and HR Leads to scale the D&I plan through business-led Geo D&I Ecosystems and Geo ROBs (Rhythms of Business) with effective change strategies.
• Enables Region diversity representation strategy, seamlessly integrate D&I across the talent lifecycle and management system (i.e. Talent Talks, inclusive hiring) in partnership with Region COE Leads.
• Offers direct support for large-scale initiatives and advises senior leaders on complex and emerging D&I issues, specific to the Region, ensuring efforts are impactful and aligned with both global and local strategies.
• Sponsors and program manages Region-wide initiatives and programs which drive scaled impact, in partnership with HR.
• Proactively provides data-driven insights to identify and prioritize areas of opportunity for targeted interventions.  Collaborates with key stakeholders to address emerging ‘hotspots’ and ensure a structured process for ongoing progress measurement and strategic measurement. 
• Provides HR with necessary tools and guidance to lead effective D&I discussions and coach leaders on D&I practices.
• Collaborates and provides active input to global D&I teams to enable D&I coherence and readiness, alongside providing organizational and Region needs.
• Embodies and models company values and inclusive capabilities.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in HR domain such as D&I, Line HR or HR Generalist; including understanding of core HR and people processes, talent lifecycle, and coaching & consulting leaders/ managers.
• OR Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business or related field AND 5+ years of experience in HR domain such as D&I, Line HR or HR Generalist; including understanding of core HR and people processes, talent lifecycle, and coaching & consulting leaders/ managers.
• Regional exposure and proven experience in coaching leaders across Asia.
• Systems thinking and experience in driving sustainable change, with exposure in the topics of diversity and inclusion.

Preferred Or Additional Qualifications
• Scaled change management experience in cross-cultural contexts (change management certifications not required but preferred).
• Experience engaging effectively on sensitive and/or complex topics with individuals at all levels in the organization.
• Data analysis and insights generation skills.
• Project management experience, and the ability to balance multiple efforts in a fast-moving dynamic environment.
