About the role:
The Information Release Officer’s primary responsibility is to ensure the provision of effective information release services to the department, which includes requests under the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 1++1, National Redress Scheme (NRS), Information Privacy Principles, government circulars, court orders and associated legislation. This includes liaising with relevant stakeholders and assisting in the identification, location and coordination of the retrieval of documents across sites within the agency, including high quality and timely responses to requests.
The Information Release Officer will be required to effectively engage with stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high quality and compliant FOI, NRS and information release practices within required timeframes, including the provision of FOI, NRS and information release advice in relation to processes across the agency.
Qualifications:
Essential: Nil.
Desirable: State Records FOI Training Modules 1-4.
Special conditions:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:
ASO5 $85,7+0 - $+5,413 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading
