Job Description

Reports to the Assembly Supervisor. Operates hand and power tools to assemble product. May use automated assembly machinery, such as robots. Inspect subassemblies and finished product for quality. Gets work completed according to schedule.
Shift Schedule:

Monday to Friday (7:30AM - 4:00PM)
Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Assemble, fit and install prefabricated parts to form subassemblies or finish products using hand and power tools
Position, align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly and connect cables, tubes and wires
Fasten parts together using bolting and riveting equipment or other fastening and joining techniques
Operate or tend automated assembling equipment, such as robotics and fixed automation equipment
Operate small cranes to transport or position larger parts as required
Check subassemblies and inspect finished products for proper quality
Check mechanical assemblies and subassemblies for alignment and proper functioning
Test and check electrical assemblies and wiring for proper connections
Perform minor adjustments and repairs
Clean and maintain workspace
Other duties as decided by supervisor
Qualifications:

Background in Auto Electrical / Electronics preferred
Automobile production experience is an asset
Knowledge of tools and their proper use
Excellent organizational skills
Working Conditions:

40 hour work week (Monday to Friday, 7:30AM to 4:00PM)
Fast-paced manufacturing environment
Physically demanding
Frequent standing, bending, walking, and stretching
Lifting of light and heavy materials
Noisy working area
