The Assessment Cycle Production (ACP) Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of digital assessments across all schools and exam centres in New Zealand and realm countries.

This role oversees all production and delivery activities across the assessment cycle, from the configuration of assessment platforms to the delivery of student responses for marking, through to results release and the review and reconsideration stages.

In this role, you will:

Lead the production, configuration, monitoring and delivery of digital assessments, ensuring strong quality controls
Manage the end-to-end operational delivery of NCEA and NZ Scholarship external assessments
Develop, implement, and review operational plans for intra-year and end-of-year assessment cycles
Ensure that vendor requirements, technical dependencies and integration points are well managed for both digital and paper-based assessments
Work collaboratively across multiple business units to ensure seamless delivery and a high-quality experience for learners, schools, and markers
Embed improvements under the Business Process Management Framework across the Assessment Division and Information Services
Ko tau na i tenei turanga | What you'll bring to the role:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification at NZQF Level 7
Experience in operational and/or project management, including managing end-to-end production processes
Experience leading people and projects, ideally within a public sector environment, including leading and supporting change across teams and processes
A customer-focused approach to designing, improving, and implementing processes and systems, with strong organisational and interpersonal skills
Ability to work proactively in an ambiguous, fast-changing environment
Working knowledge of technical requirements involved in supporting IT applications and platforms
Understanding of end-to-end assessment processes for online and paper-based external assessments (from development to marking and results release) will be advantageous.
A strong commitment to New Zealand students and the community
Have awareness and commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and equity principles.
