About the role:

Job Overview :
We are seeking passionate and detail-oriented Assessors to assess and mark assignments for a UK Level 6 teaching qualification. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and consistency of the assessment process for in-service and aspiring teachers. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in educational assessment, enjoy reading, and have the ability to provide constructive feedback to learners.
Key Responsibilities :
• Assess and mark assignments in line with the UK Level 6 teaching qualification standards.
• Provide detailed, constructive feedback to learners, ensuring clarity and alignment with assessment criteria.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and fairness in the assessment process.
• Collaborate with a team of assessors and the academic team to ensure high standards of assessment and learner support.
• Review and update assessment practices regularly to maintain quality assurance.
• Participate in standardization meetings and training sessions to ensure continuous professional development.
Essential Qualifications :
• Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• 2+ Occupational experience in education and assessment.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
• Teaching experience in an educational setting.
• Internal Quality Assurance (IQA ) qualification
• Passion for reading and staying updated on educational trends and best practices.
Skills & Competencies :
• In-depth knowledge of assessment and quality assurance practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills for assessing and interpreting learner assignments.
• A passion for education and supporting learner development.
