Job Description
You will work closely with Portfolio Managers and the Senior Research analyst to support the US Equities team to track the US Energy sector. You will cover a broad base of Energy companies under the direction of the two aforementioned senior persons (including having financial forecasts, and managing interactions with both the company and sell-side analysts). You will also provide timely macroeconomic, political and company insights.
Job Responsibilities
Track the companies within the US Energy space
Create and utilize financial models for investment valuation
Make relative value comparisons and assist the Senior Research analyst initiate coverage
Collaborate with a global network of J.P. Morgan Asset Management energy analysts
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
Post graduate degree required, CFA preferred
Should have at least 5-7 years of relevant investment experience; with prior experience in Equity Research
Technical excel and modelling skills are essential
Key skills are analytical skill, measured investment judgement, decision-making, intellectual curiosity, intellectual honesty, teamwork, pro-active communication
Finding new investment ideas as well as thorough understanding, valuing and maintaining coverage on existing investments
Motivated individuals who are willing to work hard to build up their knowledge base, performance track record and credibility within the team
