Job Description
As a Sr. Creative Services Designer, you will join the Global Creative Services team within Marketing that provides in-house agency-style creative support for hundreds of projects and pieces each year. The department's mission is to produce distinctive work that visually and linguistically communicate J.P. Morgan broad range of products and services. Responsibilities include creating campaign focused design initiatives, and occasional presentation development. You would work as part of the creative team and collaborate with editors to conceptualize projects and be able to create from ideation through final production. You are responsible for creating exceptional designs to advance the brand and maintain the established voice and visual identity. You have a knack for assembling existing information in a captivating way, including storyboarding, visualizing process flows, visualizing data, and understanding the client journey.
Job Responsibilities
Partner with the global creative services team and oversee India members of production design team of designers, copywriter & project manager
This role requires a deep understanding of digital-first design of all kinds, sizes, shapes and contexts
Focused developing brand systems, this will require a strong point of view on design, hands-on creation of experiences, and building meaningful relationships within the organization
A user-centric view is paramount for the role, while providing refined and innovatively enriching digital-first communications and content that drive awareness, understanding, engagement and action which are all on brand
You will be working in a fast-paced environment alongside our design, editorial, video and project management teams to deliver new experiences through effective artifacts (from prototypes and low-to-high-fidelity wireframes)
A balanced understanding of branding, strong eye for detail, curating photography that aligns with our brand principles and visual design is a must for the role. Focus on building and evolving brand and brand guidelines. Effectively ensure that the brand is represented across every touch point and the design system is harmonious and scalable.
Develop appropriate ongoing connection and buy-in with the relevant cross functional stakeholders. Serve as a customer-experience advocate, excited about our customer's lives through simple, intelligent, and enriching experiences.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
Post graduation in graphic design, or another related design discipline, preferred. Relevant experience in a similar role managing a small design team within a company or agency, design studio or in-house creative department.
An online creative portfolio that demonstrates extraordinary creative work across digital and print, as well as a comprehensive understanding of brand identity, design strategy, and technical capabilities.
Impeccable design skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly and compellingly, with strong attention to detail as it relates to typography, photography selection, grids, composition, and color palettes. Fluency with design tools, including, but not limited to Figma, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects.
Understanding of trends in branding, marketing, and media. Hands-on approach and deep understanding across channels (digital, social, broadcast, etc.).
Have a keen desire to integrate his or her way of thinking into a world class experience design culture.
Teamwork: Develops and sustains effective and cooperative working relationships with peers, managers and other internal or external stakeholders. Encourage cross-team collaboration and skill-sharing.
Flexibility/adaptability: ability to work independently within a team environment, change direction based upon team and stakeholder consensus.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
Knowledge of and/or experience in the financial services industry is preferred
Ability to think both tactically and strategically, including high levels of self-direction, innovation, and imagination.
