We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team based in Wellington. As Assistant Accountant you'll be working closely with our Accountant and the wider Finance team to deliver financial services across Te Kura and interacting with our external stakeholders and audit team.
This role requires:
CAANZ Membership, or with relevant tertiary qualification and working towards membership
At least two years financial accounting experience
Accounting practice and systems
Knowledge of Taxation, specifically GST, FBT and WHT
Providing financial management and services across a variety of audiences
The ability to plan, priortise and organise work.

The successful candidate will have:
A solid background in accounting, with experience in financial management.
Possess analytical and problem solving skills, and proficiency in financial systems are essential.
Have a CAANZ qualification or working towards attaining CAANZ qualifications, have expertise in Microsoft excel functionality.
Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial audiences.
