Our client is one of New Zealand’s leading companies who are looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to support them in their busy season.
You will be working alongside some leading accounting talent, so the opportunity to grow, develop and learn is huge. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is eager to hit the ground running and get stuck in!
You Will Be
Assisting in Month End Financial processes (eg journals), reconciliations and reporting
Assisting in the management of the banking function
Assisting in the management of the accounts payable function
Assisting the Finance Processing Lead with Business Acceptance Testing as required
Assisting the team to achieve accurate, complete, and timely reporting of financial results for the business
Assisting in any special ad hoc tasks as they occur
You Will Need
Solid experience in financial and management accounting
An Accounting or Financial degree, or the equivalent by experience
Experience with financial accounting software/ ERP systems
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
Ability to work independently and proactively
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
