Job Description
Your Duties:
Support the development of budgetary control processes, assisting budget holders with reports, variance analysis, and corrective action recommendations.
Conduct financial reviews of Supporting People provider organisations and validate financial returns, drafting reports for review.
Provide senior finance staff with performance information, escalating issues and proposing solutions as required.
Assist in producing regular reports in accordance with agreed reporting schedules and support ad hoc investigations.
Represent the Finance section on internal and external committees and working groups as needed.
Identify and implement business improvements to enhance the performance of the Finance section.
Manage unit staff, including training, motivation, performance assessment, and discipline.
Deputise for the relevant Line Manager when required.
Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
Your Profile:
Essential Criteria:
Applicants must hold one of the following qualifications:
The final examinations of AAT or IATI.
The foundation papers of a CCAB body (or equivalent).
A relevant Bachelor's degree with accounting as the major component or an equivalent qualification.
Experience:
Candidates must demonstrate a minimum of three years’ experience in an accounting environment, covering at least two of the following areas:
Budget setting, forecasting, monitoring, and reporting of expenditure.
Preparation or review of statutory or management accounts.
Use of an integrated financial management system, linked reporting tools, and advanced spreadsheet skills.
Additional Information:
Full-time, Temporary.
37 hours, Monday-Friday.
A Basic Access NI Check is required.
